Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 apples
  • 40 g brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 beaten egg

Method

  1. Step 1

    Heat the oven to 200°C and line a tray with baking paper.

  2. Step 2

    Dice the apples and toss them with the brown sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch.

  3. Step 3

    Cut the puff pastry into squares and spoon the apple filling onto one side of each square.

  4. Step 4

    Fold the pastry over to make triangles and seal the edges with a fork.

  5. Step 5

    Brush the tops with beaten egg and cut a small steam slit in each turnover.

  6. Step 6

    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden and puffed.

  7. Step 7

    Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
